Making money on eBay offers stay-at-home moms interesting advantages. Whether you want to earn a full income or just want to make some extra cash, eBay allows you the flexibility you need. From the comfort of your home, you can work when you want, scheduling your hours around family time. You can literally make money on ebay while the kids are sleeping. Getting started with eBay only takes minutes. The account itself is free; the only fees you have to pay are for the items you sell. Just sign up on eBay and add your account information. It is also a good idea to sign up for a PayPal account, since that is the preferred method of payment for most buyers and sellers. The average American family has over $6,000 worth of unused or unwanted things in their home. That means that, whether you are aware of it or not, you probably have plenty of potential items to sell on eBay. You can start selling them right away and then use that money to make your eBay business even more lucrative. The more active you are on eBay, the more likely it is that people will buy from you. Running your eBay business does not take that much time either. You can plan your work time around your current schedule, so that it does not interfere with your home or your kids. For example, listings can be done in the evening, while your children are asleep. Then, when you have spare time during the day, you can answer emails and customer questions. Even shipping can be flexible. You can choose to ship all of your items on a specific day of the week, or spread it out during your “off hours.” Another benefit of eBay is that you get paid instantly. If you have a PayPal account, you can move customer payments to your bank account as quickly as the money is processed. This means that you do not have to wait two weeks for a paycheck, and you can make and transfer your earnings at your own pace. For stay-at-home mothers who cannot keep up with a demanding job or simply do not choose to, eBay is a great alternative. The more you put into your eBay business, the more you will get out of it. Best of all, it can be done on your own schedule, while you are spending time with your family.

Hi – I sell on eBay. I profit about $3,500 a month. eBay has been my full time job for 4 years, and I have sold over 12,000 items. I am a stay at home mom. I also do eBay consulting.
I can send you a link to my store and you can see for yourself if you are skeptical. Sorry, yahoo doesn't allow links here.
I find items at second hand stores, garage sales, clearance sales, estate sales, and consignment stores to resell on eBay. Some of the items are used, some are new. You can start by selling items you already have, and learn the process and decide if eBay is for you.
Do you have a skill that's in demand? I know people who sell services like web design or graphic design. Other people sell handmade items like jewelry, customized baby items, or craft items. There are many ways to earn a living on ebay, either part-time or full-time.
Please email me directly at elizabethwells815@yahoo.com if I can answer any specific questions.

I have made a few bucks selling clutter from around my home. It was either I sell the stuff without care of profit or to toss the stuff into a dumpster. Some things sold, some things didn't. Some items had lots of bids, others sold for the starting prices. There is no science to it. It's a matter of having the right product at the right price at the right time and having a buyer wanting the right product at the right price at the right time. It may not be what you want to hear but it's the reality of selling on Ebay, selling in a store front, selling on a street corner, or donating goods to a homeless shelter for the tax write offs. Try it. You don't have to go 100% in either direction. Try a few items on buy it now and try a few on auction. Try a few items in lots and try a few items as seperates. Set some at 99 cents and some at $9.99. You can always relist. You can take a 30 day free trial on an Ebay store and see if that works for you. You can pass out flyers to Moms with your Ebay ID or ask stores to hang up the flyers for their customers with a few sample items. I would encourage you to think about a legitimate business… vendor license, business name, tax IDs, etc. WHY??? Because you can write off costs of doing business… portion of home office space, office supplies, ebay auction fees, printer cartridges, computer depreciation, workshops and books and business classes, attorney fees, accountant fees, software, etc. Even if your business doesn't rake in the kind of money you want, why pay the fees out of your pocket? It only costs around $80 to set up a business in your county. Your library will have FREE books for business start ups. You can get more help from SCORE and SBA (see links below). You don't need a whole bunch of start up capital but you should be able to keep records of income and expenses.

To get a good feel for Ebay. The best way to start is with somthing small. Try selling off some things around your house that you have no need for.
Yoy may try searching on Yahoo or Google for Wholesale or Surplus houses. But be wary… Many make you buy in large lots. Ask if you could test drive with a few pieces first. You may pay a little extra, but you are limiting your exposure as well.

I´ve been investing for more than 20 years and trading for almost 14, and I can tell you that if you want to make BIG and FAST profits, I recommend you trading rather than investing, trading can help you to go from rags to rich.
If you are investing, you must have already achieved some degree of financial success, long term stock investing and FOREX can help you become much richer than you are today.
My experiences as a Nasdaq Market Maker, Head trader of several brokerage firms, and currently as a professional trader and private hedge fund manager, I can suggest you that:
We trade because we want quick, short term profits on a consistent basis. We want to cash flow the market. Milk it like a cow.
Make consistent, small, short term gains rather than trying to hit a home run on every trade. Don't ever forget that.
Don't marry a stock, marry the idea of making money trading stocks. That's the only way to do it.
For me "All stocks are equally worthless”
I don't hold on to any illusion that the stock market will continue to go up and provide a nice retirement for me.
I could care less which way the market goes. It's irrelevant to me if the market goes higher, crashes or moves sideways for the next 50 years. I really could care less. Stocks are just four letters with two prices next to them that I use to make a living trading.
Trade ONLY when you have a clear, easy and identifiable advantage, because without a CLEAR EDGE your odds of success are NO better than a flip of a coin… That´s why so many new traders (and investors) lose money.
Take a look at any daily chart of any index or stock and you'll probably see the most volatility and the biggest opportunity for profit during the first Hour of the stock market's opening.
The popular thinking and conventional wisdom is that you should wait about an hour before you start trading.
But if you do, you'll miss the big, fast moves that stocks make as all the amateurs let their emotions out through their
online accounts, usually right after they read some news headline or hear Maria Bartiromo go off about a stock on CNBC.
It's easy to see why trading the open is the market's prime time for profiting from other online traders.
The market's open is very volatile – that is the perfect environment for LARGE, FAST profits.
Learn to trade as a professional Market Maker ,not as an emotionally driven amateur trader or investor with few thousand dollars in an account at Etrade.
There isn't any other time during the day or any stock you can invest in, that can make you 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 or more points
in minutes OTHER than during the first hour the stock market is open. That's why I love trading the open so much.
I trade only when I have an edge and that means "only the first hour the market is open".
If you are a beginning trader, you can give yourself an unfair advantage in the market trading this way.
I can carry on with the advises about how to make money trading, but if you ask me:
"What is the best thing you can do for me?
I will say:
Give yourself a BIG favor and go to this "Top Secret" site and learn how to get the BEST stocks that will make the largest and fastest day trading profits you´ve ever seen, all by yourself…
http://www.onehourtrading.com
After you review this site you won´t need system, strategy, book, software or mentor to tell you what to do,
you will be able to profit HUGE every day.
Good luck and good trading,

I actually sell designer authentic handbags and ebooks.
The best thing to do, for most profit, is buy wholesale.
But vintage and thrift stores and yardsales are great places to score clothes for kids at less than $1.00 per piece and name brands are most important.
If you decide to go wholesale, I have a list of sources you can email me for, and I'll send you for free….I've used them and had great success with each one.
The most profitable categories for profit on ebay are: designer anything (shoes, clothes, handbags), electronics, brand name skincare, haircare or makeup brands, and vintage/estate/collector one of a kind heirloom pieces are the biggest profit niches.

In my humble opinion….maybe try something else?
I would put your thinking cap on!
Look at all the things first that sell on e-bay…When you have a spare moment.o.k.
Then if you can just do some home work, and think 'what' is it that doesn't sell on e-bay?…that maybe could?
E-bay is unlimited for selling….but Avon and others have been done to death!
You need to have inspiration…..but with thought! you may just pick a huge winner! GOOD LUCK!

There's no 'easy' way or everyone would be doing it. eBay IS the best option and you don't have to leave your house to sell items. You can have shipping carriers pick up your boxes from the house.
Consider a drop shipper.
