These tips, based on experience over the last seven years, should help to avoid some of the potential pitfalls. 1. Make use of the various tools provided on eBay to ascertain the target price of items you are interested in. A simple way to do this is to ‘search’ for completed items. 2. Always check that there are no hidden costs associated with your potential bargain. These may include unspecified postage costs, or PayPal fees chargeable to the buyers. If in doubt email the buyer and if you do not get a response then do not bid. Remember that when buying from overseas postage costs can be significant compared to the price of the item and also for more expensive items you may be liable to customs fees. 3. Check out the sellers feedback. You should be aiming to buy from sellers with feedback of at least 98 per cent if it is less and you are interested in an item read the feedback comments to satisfy yourself that the buyer provides a good service. In particular, read the neutral and negative feedback posts to try to work out what may have gone wrong with previous transactions. 4. Do not get carried away and end up bidding more than need or want to. Some items appear very frequently on eBay and it may be worth setting yourself a limit and waiting for the next one to come along. 5. If you find you are often being outbid at the last moment, consider using sniping software which you can use to automatically submit a bid in the last few seconds of the auctions. 6. Where possible, use PayPal to pay for items on eBay. The sellers get their payment quickly, and there is a degree of protection for buyers if things go wrong. eBay via My eBay provides a number of tools for monitoring progress on your transaction These tips, based on experience over the last seven years, should help to avoid some of the potential pitfalls. 1. Lots of people on thyroid meds have done this protocol. You’ll want to recheck them again after the diet and see if meds need to be readjusted w/ your Dr.

If by "eBay credits" you mean eBay Gift Certificates, they can be bought on-line anywhere with a PayPal account. If you don't have one, Sign Up (tiny print) at the top center of the page.
https://www.paypal.com/
eBay Gift Certificates can be emailed directly to your Gift Recipient or to you for personal gift giving and can be used for any purchase or auction on eBay.
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_ebay-gift-certificate
Your Gift Recipient will also need a PayPal account and an eBay account. If they don’t, they'll be given the opportunity to register on eBay and sign up for a PayPal account when they purchase an item.
http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/certificates.html#redeeming
To redeem a Gift Certificate:
"1. Click the Pay now button for the item you are buying.
2. Enter the redemption code from the gift certificate, gift card, or coupon in the "Redemption code" field at the bottom the page and click the Apply button.
Tip: If you received your redemption code online, it’s easier to copy it and paste it into the “Redemption code” field instead of typing it.
3.Click the "Update Total" link to see your new total.
4. Complete your purchase. If the value of your gift certificate, gift card, or coupon doesn't cover the total price of your purchase, you can pay the balance with your PayPal account using your PayPal balance, bank account, or credit card."

Get One! I am a veteran ebayer and the most important thing you can do as a buyer, is to set up a paypal account! It's free and it's easy. Never, never, never, give out your card info to a seller and never pay with a personal check!
Just go to: paypal.com and give your info. It is safe and, they have buyer protection. PayPal has saved my "cheese" on more than one occasion!
